Head Coach – 2013 Girls

Michelle Bird brings decades of elite playing and coaching experience to Lake Country United FC. Her soccer journey began at RYSA (1994–1999), and continued with top Georgia clubs, including AFC Lightning, GSA, and Tophat. As a youth player, she competed in some of the nation’s most competitive tournaments—winning multiple national showcase titles.

In 2000–01, Michelle helped lead her club team to state and regional championships and a 3rd-place finish at the national level. She represented Georgia in the State Olympic Development Program and was selected to the Region Pool. She also played in the Super-Y League and earned selection to the Super-Y Regional Pool.

At Heritage High School, Michelle was a four-year varsity player, team captain, and team MVP in both 2004 and 2005. She earned All-Area and All-State honors in 2003, 2004, and 2005 and received a Division I scholarship offer to play at Samford University.

As a coach, Michelle was selected to lead a U12 team on an international tour to England, where her squad competed against top youth academies. She holds a USSF D-License and is deeply committed to developing young players in a positive, competitive environment.
