players

As a PLAYER, I understand that I am responsible for the following:

1. Demonstrating positive sportsmanship on and off of the field. This includes exercising positive self-control, graciously accepting the outcome games and treating ALL players and fans with courtesy and respect.

2. Demonstrating respect for all players and coaches in behavior and language and refrain from using profanity.

3. Demonstrating respect for officials, in part by accepting their decisions. Insulting comments, arguing, gestures and profanity directed at officials will not be tolerated.

4. Practicing and working on skill development as is appropriate for the age and competitive level of play for the team.

5. Positively representing the LCUFC (IMPACT) on and off the field at home and away on both recreational and competitive teams.

6. Maintaining at least a B average in school as well as maintaining (or exceeding) a reading level equal to my grade otherwise I understand that I could face suspension or even expulsion from the club.

7. Learning, understanding and following the rules of the game as appropriate for age and competitive level of the team.

8. Being responsible for timely notification of absences from games, practices and training to the coach or manager of the team as determined by the team. This is MY job to work this out with my Parent/Guardian and notify the coach(es) accordingly.

9. Refraining from violence and abuse of any nature because that type of behavior will not be tolerated.

10. Refraining from the use of alcohol, illegal drugs and tobacco products while a member of LCUFC.

11. Refraining from complaining and/or displaying a negative attitude in any way about lack of playing time for me as well as my teammates. I understand that if I want more playing time that I will need to EARN it and I will ask my coach in private the best way to achieve that in a constructive way.

By clicking the button below, I have read and understand that playing for LCUFC is a privilege and NOT a right. I read and fully understand that the above Code of Conduct and the expectations apply to behavior on and off of the field at games and at practices.

I agree to abide by the Code guidelines at all team and league activities. I understand and accept that any violation of this Code of Conduct could result in me and/or my child being expelled from the club with no financial recourse.

Parents (or Guardian):

As a PARENT/GUARDIAN of a Player, I understand that I am responsible for the following:

1. Encouraging positive sportsmanship by example, as well as reminding fellow parents if they get inappropriately carried away with their emotions during the game. I will also accept these reminders graciously when offered by other parents.

2. Being supportive--unconditionally--accept wins and losses. (REMEMBER - The last thing that a Player wants to hear from me after a disappointing performance or loss is what they did wrong).

3. Refraining from coaching the Players (including your child/children) during the games. I will leave the coaching to the coaches. If I desire to offer coaching, then I will speak with the coach about my ideas BEFORE OR AFTER PRACTICE – NOT AT GAMES.

4. Emphasizing skill development over winning. I understand that taking time to help my kids practice their skills and drills at home is highly encouraged by LCUFC.

5. Interacting positively with parents of opposing teams. I will set a good example for players indicating you can compete assertively and still be respectful.

6. Having a welcoming attitude to all team families on and off the field. I will REFRAIN from gossip and criticism of teammates, other players and coaches at games, practices and on social media sites, etc. As the signee of this contract, I am responsible for all of my family members and guests that attend games (and/or practices) and I will work to ensure that they each follow and respect this policy. (NOTE: LCUFC believes in the freedom of speech but this type of negativity is destructive to the team and club).

7. Refraining from complaining and/or displaying a negative attitude in any way about lack of playing time for my child (family member, etc.) as well the other players. I understand that if I want to assist my child with gaining more playing time that I will ask the coach to meet in private and have the coach explain what I can do to help my child achieve that in a constructive way.

8. Supporting officials—refraining from criticizing vocally during games. I will leave any issues with the game officials to the coaches.

9. Supporting the team and club. I will be open to volunteering during tournaments, participate in fundraisers, etc.

10. Reviewing the practice and game schedules in advance. I will notify the coach of any conflicts so they are aware that my player will not be participating on a given day.

11. Encouraging my child to have fun and enjoy his/her teammates and the competition.
