Coach Oquin “Q” Robinson

Head Coach - u19 Girls - Lake Country United FC 2026–Present

Oquin Robinson, known to players and families as “Coach Q,” joins Lake Country United FC with an impressive blend of high-level playing experience, player development knowledge, and a passion for mentoring young athletes. As head coach of the U19 Girls team, Coach Q brings professionalism, positivity, and a deep understanding of what it takes to help players reach the next level.

Originally from Jamaica, Coach Q developed through the Harbor View FC system, one of the country’s most respected football clubs, where he competed from the U13 through U20 age groups. His performances there helped earn him the opportunity to continue his playing career in the United States at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). During his four-and-a-half years at VCU, he competed at the collegiate level while earning a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Coach Q also gained experience in the USL2, playing with Memphis in 2018 and Des Moines Menace in 2019, competing alongside and against many top-level collegiate and aspiring professional players from around the country.

Beyond his playing career, Coach Q has dedicated himself to player development and mentoring. He spent three years coaching with Own Touch Academy in Richmond and also worked for three years as a personal trainer with CONCLEATSOCCER, helping players sharpen their technical ability, athletic performance, and confidence on the field. At Lake Country United FC, Coach Q is committed to building a positive, disciplined, and competitive environment where players are encouraged to grow as athletes and as people. His approach emphasizes accountability, confidence, technical development, and helping players pursue their goals at the collegiate and higher levels of the game.
